Deeply committed to the community in which she lives, Wendy has been involved with community organisations since the tender age of 16. Currently she is an active member of Rotary International (District 9450 and the Rotary Club of Perth) and the John Curtin Leadership Academy.

She has been married to Rob, doctor and fellow adventurer, for 37 years. They have three adult children, two children-in-law and two delightful grand-children. When not doing her work, which she loves, she enjoys reading about and adventuring on land and ocean, and spending time with family and friends.

Steve has been a market researcher for 13 years and previously was an accountant for 3 years. He has worked for Colmar Brunton for 10 years and prior to that was at the Marketing Science Centre in Adelaide for 3 years. His particular specialty in research is advanced design and interpretation of quantitative analysis leading to strategic insights. He knows how to convert research into insight and insight into action, and he has run a number of strategic implications workshops. His sector focus is service industries (banking, insurance, travel, telecommunications and utilities). He has worked on dozens of customer experience projects, looking at satisfaction, switching, value and needs. He was Colmar Brunton's co-lead on Telstra's largest ever business market needs based segmentation study.

His experience covers both the consumer and business markets. Steve is the Qld state chair for the AMSRS. He is a Colmar Brunton company shareholder and board director. He has a Master of Business (Research), BMgt (Marketing), BA (Accounting) and CPA.

Chris Doody

Over the last 4 years, Chris has pioneered the introduction and guided the success of geo focussed local area marketing within Telstra Country Wide. From establishing a small dedicated marketing team in 2004 and formulating the success model for LAM, Telstra Country Wide now has a team of 30 marketers working on geo focussed marketing.

This role comes after a varied career in Telstra, which included senior roles in Sales, Business Development, Operations, and Industrial Relations.

Chris is a graduate from the Australian Rural Leadership Program, holds a Grad Dip of Management (Business) from the University of Ballarat and is currently the National Manager, Metro Marketing, Telstra Country Wide.

Kevin Hewitt

Kevin offers a rare mix of talents combining a commercial, marketing-orientated perspective with an understanding of the role of technology in driving corporate performance and enabling new business and engagement models. Born in California, Kevin has lived and worked in North America, Europe and Asia. He is a seasoned marketer with a breadth and depth of commercial experience spanning industries, geographies, business and consumer markets.

Graduating in 1992 with a Business & Marketing degree from Pepperdine University, a top 50 college in the United States, he returned to the UK to secure a post-graduate marketing qualification from Oxford Business School. With this foundation, he has built a marketing career with some of the world's leading businesses, including:

  • News Corporation (media)
  • Microsoft (IT)
  • Omnicom (marketing services)
  • Carlsberg (food and beverage)

Kevin founded management consulting firm Capitalis in 2002, and now works with market-leading businesses across Asia Pacific and North America. Clients include Telstra, Microsoft, Australia Post, Symantec and Tourism Australia. In Western Australia, Capitalis works closely with Lotterywest, assisting the organisation in building a sustainable Scratch 'n' Win business, and has evaluated the market feasibility for a new product for RAC Finance.

Roger James

Roger James

National Chairman - AMI

Roger James is Chairman of the AMI and Director of Roger James & Associates, a marketing, research and communications consultancy. Through the AMI he has been closely involved in the development of marketing performance measures. He is Australian representative on the ISO Working Party developing an International Standard for brand valuation.

Roger James will demonstrate some of the web-based tools and resources developed for the AMI's Marketing Metrics project. These include a leading-edge Metrics Dashboard Selection system. Roger will use real world examples to show how marketers will be able to refine their marketing evaluation and to better demonstrate marketing's role in value creation.

Richard Keeves

Richard Keeves

President - Western Australian Internet Association

Richard Keeves has been consulting in online business strategies since 1995 and has over 25 years experience in online business, publishing and senior management. Richard founded the Internet Business Corporation (IBC) in 1995.

Richard is the current President of the Western Australian Internet Association, and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has been on the board of various industry bodies including the Western Australian Internet Association, the Information & Communications Technology Industry Collaboration Centre and the Information Industry Forum.

In the 1990s, Richard was involved with the Federal Government's Best Practice program and has conducted extensive studies into emerging technology for electronic publishing, electronic marketing and online business.

Richard has a wealth of practical business knowledge about the Internet industry and its trends and implications for business and society. Richard is a noted keynote speaker and has spoken at conferences and seminars throughout Australia and in NZ, Asia and the USA. Richard consults to a number of government agencies, not-for-profits and corporate clients to assist them understand online trends, successfully transform their operations online and stay on top of their online business opportunities.

Simon Lusty

Simon Lusty

Aquent Regional Director - Australia & New Zealand

Simon began his career with Aquent in 2002 as Area Manager in New Zealand, where he grew the Auckland office from two to seven staff. He also diversified the business from solely creative services to full recruitment solutions in marketing, communications, creative, account service and media. It is now Auckland's largest specialist recruitment agency of its kind.

Simon then moved on to become a Director for Aquent Sydney, where he was responsible for the second largest Aquent office outside the US, before taking on his current Regional Director role.

Prior to joining Aquent, Simon was a permanent consultant at The Lampen Group, New Zealand's largest privately owned recruitment agency. He quickly progressed into other parts of the business before becoming Team Leader of their permanent division in Auckland. One of his other roles at The Lampen Group was the full human resources management of a contact centre with over 220 temporary staff for a major financial organisation. This included redefining the recruitment process, rectifying retention issues and managing all HR aspects of the staff.

Simon also played a key role in The Lampen Group's integration to TMP Worldwide including systems, processes and people integration. He then continued to lead a team of consultants in the Auckland, Penrose and North Shore offices before becoming Assistant Regional Manager looking after a permanent recruitment division of 36 staff across the Auckland Region.

As Aquent's Regional Director of Australia and New Zealand, Simon Lusty is responsible for managing some 75 staff in six offices across the region.

Robyn Moore

Robyn Moore

Robyn Moore is a multi-skilled Communicator who has been changing people's perception through the power of the word for almost 30 years.

She has sold millions of dollars worth of products for thousands of Australian companies, entertained millions of Australians in this country's longest running radio comedy, enchanted children in animation series that are seen in 70 countries and is considered to be one of our top speakers at national and international conferences.

Robyn was the National Communicator of the year, is on the Advisory Board of Oasis Africa, is an Australia Day Ambassador for the Australia Day Council and the Australian Childhood Foundation and is the National Patron of Make-A-Wish Foundation.

She claims to have been in every home in Australia although no-one here will have a clue who she is...until she speaks.

The former Foresight Manager at global beverage company Fosters, Steve has worked with some of Australia's leading companies, looking at the future of Australian consumers and the implications and opportunities for their organisation.
